Mount Bromo to save the natural beauty that may not be for you. This active volcano was standing as high as 2329 meters above sea level. Administratively, Mt. Bromo was in four districts in East Java, Malang, Pasuruan, Probolinggo and Lumajang. Therefore, it is very easy for travellers to come from any direction.

If you depart from Probolinggo by using public transportation, then you can arrive in the tourist area of Mt. Bromo is via Cemorolawang. Use bus from Surabaya or other city and get off at the terminal of Probolinggo, then proceed with the Elf ride towards Cemorolawang. Make sure you arrive at the terminal of Probolinggo too in the afternoon, because the passenger vehicle quota when it departs Elf already fulfilled. The name is derived from the name of the Crater pair of Roro Anteng and Joko So that is an ancestor or ancestors who first established a settlement here. 2. Kasada ceremony Yadnya or Kasodo
This ceremony is part of the tradition of the Tenggerese. Ordinary Kasodo was held on the 14th day of the tenth month of the Hindu calendar Tengger. The ceremony at the start of the Pura Luhur Poten located at the foot of Mount Bromo. Furthermore, the tenggerese will walk to the crater to throw offerings superbly prepared. The origin of this ceremony cannot be separated from the story of Roro Anteng and Joko So. The couple has been married and has not had children. After imploring the God, finally Roro Anteng could contain, but with the proviso that the youngest daughter must be sacrificed to the way threw it into the crater as an offering.

After the disappearance of the children suddenly heard the voice of the unseen which says that every year tenggerese must implement the offering ceremony at the crater of Mount Bromo. This became the origin of Kasodo Rites.
3. Pasir Berbisik / Whispering Sands
Whispering sand is a sea of sand is above the altitude. The ocean sand lies about 10 km and is situated not far from the stairs leading to the crater of Mount Bromo. The locals refer to it as Segara Wedi. The name Whispering Sands is the name given since this place used to be the location of the shooting of the film with the same title. Besides, when the wind blows, the sand will be soft sand and raises the sound of softly as the voice of the people is being whispered.
